Quick & Easy Flavorful Chocolate Oatmeal

August 14, 2016

Happy Sunday! This morning I whipped up some chocolate oatmeal for a quick post-cardio breakfast. I think one of the common misconceptions about eating healthy is that it takes too much time and preparation. But this flavor-packed bowl of oats only takes 3 minutes to cook, and only about 5 minutes TOTAL to prepare! Here is the simple recipe.

Ingredients:

- 1/2 cup old fashioned whole grain oats

- 3 tablespoons natural unsweetened cocoa powder

- 2 teaspoons stevia

- 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk

Directions:

Microwave for 3 minutes and top with strawberries, roasted almonds, dark chocolate chunks, and blueberries.

Oatmeal is one of my favorite things to eat for a quick, healthy breakfast to give me sustained energy that lasts throughout the morning. Not to mention, there are SO many ways to change up the flavor combination of your bowl from day to day! Coming SOON on the blog: 4 Ways to Add Flavor to Your Morning Oats.
