Winter Break Bliss: Plaid Blanket Scarf + Distressed Denim

December 17, 2016

It's finally winter break! I can't believe Christmas is only a little over a week away. This truly is my favorite time of the year. I love all of the holiday baking, decorations, fashion trends, and family time. I am so excited to spend some time relaxing at home before next semester officially begins in January.

Is anyone else as excited as I am that it is finally blanket scarf season? I love wrapping up in a warm & stylish scarf during the winter time. This scarf is so big and cozy, which allows for extra easy styling! You can wear a blanket scarf so many different ways, depending on the rest of the outfit. I usually have mine tucked into my winter coat to keep warm as I walk to class.

This Cupcakes & Cashmere "Fran" Stretch Knit Long Sleeve V-Neck is so soft and comfy! It is the perfect light weight sweater-type top to wear underneath a big blanket scarf or even a coat. The color of this knit top also matched the blanket scarf perfectly! I love picking a printed, multicolored scarf and choosing a color from it to accent somewhere else in the look.

A comfy winter break look wouldn't be complete without a little bit of denim, right? Blank NYC has some of the most comfortable jeans. I love this pair of distressed denim skinnies because they make the look that much more casual; and their color blends well with the rich tone of the merlot top and plaid blanket scarf.

These boots look familiar! These were featured in my last Fashion post: Warm for the Winter: Knit Coat + Beige Boots:

"I absolutely love the tall wedge boot look, and especially this year, I have been seeing a lot of different styles of "over the knee" boots. I have actually had these beige wedge boots since my sophomore year of high school. I wear them every winter, because they go with so many different outfits and never go out of style. They have managed to hold up extremely well, and the wedge heel makes them so comfortable for long days of holiday shopping or a night out on the plaza."
