Breakfast is without a doubt the MOST important meal of the day. I have never been one to skip breakfast, because I am always super hungry right when I wake up. I have found that when I eat a bigger breakfast with a high amount of protein, I stay full longer and my appetite is curbed for the entire rest of the day! I shared my recipe for this Blueberry + Vanilla Smoothie Bowl on Instagram yesterday morning, and I must say it is definitely one of my favorites.
Blueberries are a MAJOR superfood that are full of antioxidants, high in Vitamins A & C, and rich in fiber. Blueberries have been linked to improved circulation, which helps keep your skin glowing. The high levels of Vitamin C in blueberries aid in collagen production - an essential component in building strong hair, nails, and skin. Not to mention, they give this smoothie bowl a beautiful color!
I am a huge fan of quick and easy breakfasts (I mean, who wouldn't be?) and this smoothie bowl takes less than 10 minutes to make. Literally, all you have to do is throw all of the ingredients in the blender! It doesn't get much easier than that.
