Get That Glow: Benefits of Using a Coffee Scrub

Okay, so first thing's first: I definitely consider myself a coffee enthusiast. I ALWAYS have to have my cup of joe with my breakfast right when I wake up in the AM. Sometimes drinking coffee can get a bad rap - but there are numerous health benefits of drinking a cup of coffee a day:

 

1. Coffee improves your energy levels (caffeine, please)

2. It increases your focus

3. It reduces the risk of developing diabetes

4. Coffee is a major metabolism booster

5. You can actually work out HARDER (think: pre-workout effect)

6. It actually makes you happy

7. Drinking coffee may actually prevent skin cancer

The list goes ON! I love to pour a dash of unsweetened vanilla almond milk and some cinnamon in my plain coffee for an extra flavor boost. Almond and cashew milk are MUCH healthier coffee add-ins than cream and sugar. Your body will thank you for skipping the sweets.

 

But, wait - what about using coffee grounds as a body scrub? I had heard about these kinds of scrubs before but I had never tried one until I found The Coffee Scrub. I LOVE this scrub because it is all natural, made with organic coffee beans, and has hydrating oils infused into the grounds to nourish your skin back to a healthy glow (plus it smells SO good). Coffee is actually an added ingredient in TONS of anti-aging products because the caffeine is known to tighten the skin and reduce the appearance of wrinkles.
