No Bake Peanut Butter Chocolate Protein Bars

That is all I have to say about these NO BAKE Peanut Butter Chocolate Protein Bars.

 

These are SO GOOD! And what's even better: you don't even have to bake them - all you have to do is pop them in the freezer for 4-6 hours and you have yourself a healthy chocolate peanut butter dream.

 

I am not exaggerating when I say these taste like an actual Reese's Peanut Butter cup. My whole family went CRAZY over these things! Chocolate and peanut butter has always been a family favorite when it comes to flavor combos. 

 

These are delicious and have the BEST ingredients. They are packed with protein, healthy fats, and low in sugar (for a piece of fudge). They are a little on the more calorie dense side of my healthy desserts, but it's okay because their amazing flavor makes up for the fact that they are a little heavier than my usual recipes. 

 

I wanted to try and use the fewest amount of ingredients as possible when I was making these. I knew I probably could have made these with even less ingredients than they have, but I really liked the way they turned out so I decided to leave all 7 ingredients in the recipe. 

 

Since these are 188 calories each, they pack a pretty big punch when it comes to the "fullness factor" - meaning they will keep you full for a VERY long time. The combination of healthy fats, fiber, and protein is to thank for that! Since they rank pretty high on the fullness factor scale, I like to eat these for a breakfast on the go or as an afternoon snack.

Nut butters are one of my favorite go-to snacks. A lot of times, if I start to feel hungry even though I just ate, I will realize I did not eat a healthy fat with my previous meal. I definitely notice a huge difference in my appetite levels when I include a healthy fat every (or almost every) time I eat.


These no bake bars have 14.7 grams of fat and 8.3 grams of protein, which is about equivalent to a serving of almonds (they just have a little bit more protein). I used

Unico Nutrition's vanilla milkshake protein powder in these, but they also have a plant-based protein if you are looking to make a vegan version of this recipe.
