I definitely consider myself a protein shake enthusiast.
I also consider myself a cake batter enthusiast. Literally, give me ANYTHING cake batter flavored and I will be guaranteed to love it.
Cake batter ice cream, cake batter cookies, cake batter itself - I have even tried cake batter flavored CHEWING GUM before. It may sound gross, but it was surprisingly pretty tasty.
There's just something about the sweet, vanilla flavor that I find so delicious! The good news is, it is SUPER easy to recreate the classic "cake batter milkshake" in a way that won't send you on a sugar high: by making it a PROTEIN SHAKE!

I drink A LOT of protein shakes. A LOT. I would say at least one a day, sometimes two! I know some people have mixed feelings about protein shakes, but I personally think they are okay to include in my diet as long as I am subbing them in to my macro and calorie allowance for the day and not tacking them on top of the meals I am already eating. A lot of times, people will down a protein shake ON TOP OF eating a full meal, and that is when weight gain can occur.
I usually like to drink my protein shakes after a workout or as an afternoon snack. This cake batter flavor is my all time favorite, 1. because I love cake batter and 2. because it is SUPER easy to make and only takes a few simple ingredients!

There are SO many flavor variations you can make with this recipe. I like to get creative and mix things up sometimes by adding in cocoa powder, peanut butter, and even cinnamon.
