4 Healthy Habits to Start This Week

There is NO REASON to dread Mondays. It’s a new week, a new opportunity to start working on those goals, and a fresh start (if you choose to make it one).

 

If you have a case of the Monday blues: take a second to do these four simple things at the beginning of a new week. It’s amazing what a difference these small habits can make in your attitude, productivity, and perspective.

1. Practice gratitude.

When you wake up in the morning, take a second to make a list (either in your head or by actually writing it on paper) of all the things you are grateful for. These things can be as simple as being thankful for a sunny day or as big as being thankful for your health and well-being! Practicing gratitude will have a huge impact on your attitude and perspective towards the Monday ahead.

 

 

2. Eat a healthy breakfast.

This may sound simple, and that’s because it IS. The breakfast you eat on a Monday morning is the first thing you put in your body at the start of a new week - so make sure it’s healthy and nourishing. 3. Sweat EARLY.

You know what they say: never miss a Monday! That’s because when you start the week off on the right foot, you’re more likely to continue a routine throughout the rest of the week. So get your sweat on early in the AM hours and establish a mindset of movement!

4. Plan out your week ahead.

This is more of a productivity hack than anything. Sometimes I do this on Sunday night, sometimes on Monday morning, but taking the time to plan out your schedule for the week will save you the stress of thinking about what you have on the calendar later. I always like to sit down and plan our blog content, create client workouts, and look ahead to upcoming deadlines for school before the week begins.

 

Remember: your ATTITUDE is everything. Take a fresh look at the new week and establish a mindset of positivity by trying out these four simple tasks! I PROMISE you won’t regret it!
